A full closure of the intersection of I-35 and Loop 1604 was rescheduled to Aug. 2-5 due to weather conditions.
What you need to know
As part of the I-35 Northeast Expansion, the closure will be for the installation of steel girders and work on the collector ramps.
During the closure, the westbound and eastbound collector ramps of Loop 1604 at I-35 will not be accessible.
The connector ramp from southbound I-35 to eastbound Loop 1604 and the ramp from northbound I-35 to westbound Loop 1604 will also be closed. Traffic will be detoured via the frontage roads.
According to TxDOT, construction is expected to begin Aug. 2 at 9 p.m. and end Aug. 5 at 5 a.m.
