The project is now divided into two segments with Segment 8A from FM 1103 to Schlather Street underway as of Nov. 28.
Segment 8A is expected to have a mill, repair and overlay complete by Dec. 2. During this time, through traffic from FM 1103 to Buffalo Trail will be closed.
Segment 8B from Schlather Street to FM 78 will not begin until early 2023.
According to a Nov. 23 release, the splitting of the project is to reduce the effect of road repairs on Main Street businesses and residents during the holiday season.
