The locally-owned refillery will sell non-toxic, eco-friendly shampoo, conditioner, hand soap, cleaners, lotions and more.
Customers will be able to “refill” their current household products with more sustainable options that River City offers.

Boerne ISD approves balanced budget, plans for tax rate election
The budget for fiscal year 2025-26 was approved by Boerne ISD trustees June 16. Approved unanimously, the budget this year does not have an anticipated surplus or shortfall.
However, the district intends to pursue the first-ever voter approval tax rate election in November, which will help support teacher salaries and provide funds for capital improvements outside of bonds and other funding mechanisms.
What’s happening?
Chief Financial and Operations Officer Wes Scott said the plan is to implement a competitive and strategic finance plan, covering the additional costs for the district to support staff and families.

The Judson ISD’s board of trustees approved two new principals for the 2025-26 school year on May 25.

A new retail development is under construction off Herff Road in Boerne, bringing in restaurants and an early childhood education facility.

The Greater Boerne Chamber of Commerce on June 12 celebrated the groundbreaking of the new development, which will feature two new restaurants, Meet Me Outside and 12 Herff Steakhouse.
Kiddie Academy is a tuition-based program for children between six years and twelve years of age.

New Braunfels Utilities look to cut costs on customers’ electric, water bills
Rebates offered by New Braunfels Utilities aim to give money back to customers while encouraging conservation.
What is it
Rebates are programs designed to assist NBU customers in implementing water or energy conservation practices or technologies at their homes, said Andrew Cummings, NBU’s director of customer solutions. The rebates are accredited to customers’ bills.
