Special elections will be held for the cities of Schertz and Cibolo on Nov. 14.

Early voting for the Schertz City Council, Place 4 race and the runoff for Cibolo City Council, Place 6, will begin Dec. 2.

What you need to know

With only one race on the ballot in each city, polling locations will be limited to one primary facility in each city.

For Schertz voters, five candidates have applied for the City Council seat: Benjamin Guerrero, Tyrone Taylor, Timothy Dusek, Heather Stamper and Paula Del Toro. Schertz voters can cast their ballots at the Community Center Conference Room, located at 1400 Schertz Parkway, Bldg. 3, Schertz.


Cibolo voters will be determining the council member for newly created at-large District 6, which is a runoff race between the top two vote-getters Nov. 5, Donetta Roberts and Charles Ruppert. According to the city website, ballots can be cast at Cibolo Fire Station No. 2, located at 3864 Cibolo Valley Drive, Cibolo.

Election day is Dec. 14. Polls on election day will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and results will be announced following the closing of polls.
