During the Nov. 5 election, the race for Cibolo City Council Place 6 did not result in a candidate with more than 50% of total votes cast, according to vote totals from Guadalupe County.

The top two vote-getters from the election, Donetta Roberts and Charles Ruppert will be on the ballot again in December to determine who will serve as the new council member.

What you need to know

On Nov. 5, Roberts led with 32.6% of total votes, and Ruppert received 26% of total votes.

The two candidates will move to a runoff election Dec. 14, where Cibolo residents can recast votes.


The newly created at-large seat for District 6 allows any Cibolo resident to cast a ballot, and the elected official will represent the entire city.

Moving forward

Early voting for the runoff will be held Dec. 2-6 and Dec. 9-10 from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. each day. Election day will be Dec. 14 from 7 a.m.-7 p.m.

According to the city website, the only polling location in the runoff will be Cibolo Fire Station No. 2, located at 3864 Cibolo Valley Drive, Cibolo.
