Groovy Cookie Decorating Class
This event is for ages 7 and up. Participants will learn how to decorate cookies with styles and designs from the '70s and '80s using different techniques like outlining and flooding. Individuals will be able to design 6 cookies and keep the leftover icing and take home the recipe. Parents must be present for children under the age of 18.

Participants will learn essential fire safety skills from professional firefighters. The academy will provide weekly hands-on training including live fire extinguisher training, driving a fire truck and CPR certification. The CPR certification will be held Sept. 27.

This unique event invites runners and walkers to race on the same turf as the horses at Retama Park. All proceeds from the event will benefit Real Life Community Outreach, a nonprofit dedicated to food assistance, vocational training and youth programs in underserved neighborhoods. Take your four-legged friend for a swim, two dogs per person allowed. All dogs must be on a leash outside the pool facility and wear a collar they can swim in. All owners must show proof of up-to-date rabies vaccinations at the gate and clean up after their dogs. Lawn chairs and dog toys are allowed. The capacity for this event is limited to 60 humans per each 90-minute session.
