What’s on the ballot
On the Dec. 13 runoff election ballot, Cibolo City Council’s Place 3 runoff is contested between Maria Fishback and Marissa-Ellen Patterson. Also on the ballot is the Place 7 at-large council runoff between Shari McDaniel and Summer-Marie Brown.
Some context
According to Cibolo's Code of Ordinances, a runoff takes place between the top two candidates from a general election if the top vote-getter did not receive 50% or more of the vote.
In the Place 3 election held Nov. 4, Patterson received 488 votes, or 44.08%, and Fishback received 392 votes, or 35.41%.
Brown received 1,701 votes or 41.51% in the Place 7 race, while McDaniel received 935 votes or 22.82%.

Election day poll hours are 7 a.m.-7 p.m. at Cibolo Fire Station No. 2, located at 3864 Cibolo Valley Drive, according to the city.
