After unofficial voting totals in Guadalupe and Bexar counties, Belinda Evans will be serving another term in Schertz-Cibolo-Universal City ISD's Place 7 board of trustees position.

The details

Evans, the incumbent in the race, received 4,384 votes, or 46.08% of the vote. Wilkerson, one of two challengers, received 2,821 votes, or 29.65% of the vote. The third candidate, Jeffrey Kerlick, received 2,308 votes or 29.65%.

According to district communications staff, SCUCISD elections are handled with a plurality, meaning there will be no runoff election despite Evans receiving under 50% of the vote.


Evans said she is "deeply committed to the work ahead" after her re-election,.

"It's a privilege to stand up for our students, uplift our educators and help strengthen the schools that connect us all. By staying rooted in our community, we're creating a future where every learner has the support they need to succeed in an ever-changing world," Evans said.

A total of 21,804 ballots were cast across elections in Guadalupe County, representing 16.37% of registered voters. In Bexar County, 248,428 votes were cast, representing 19.31% of voters.

After early voting totals in Guadalupe and Bexar counties, Belinda Evans is leading the polls for Schertz-Cibolo-Universal City ISD’s Place 7 board of trustees race.

Current situation

Evans, the incumbent in the race, received 2,834 early votes, or 48.01% of the vote.

Challenging her for the board seat are Ciera Wilkerson and Jeffrey Kerlick. Wilkerson has received 1,656 votes or 28.05%, while Kerlick has received 1,413 votes or 23.94%.


A total of 148,450 early votes were cast throughout Bexar County races, representing 11.54% of the county’s registered voters.

In Guadalupe County, 11,574 ballots were cast across elections, representing 8.69% of registered voters.
