The Judson ISD board of trustees unanimously approved the district’s 2026-27 academic calendar Dec. 18.

What you need to know

According to the approved calendar, the first semester of the 2026-27 school year will be Aug. 12 through Dec. 18.

The first semester of the 2026-27 year will have the following staff and student holidays:
  • Sept. 7
  • Oct. 9, 12
  • Nov. 11; 23-27
  • Dec. 21-Jan. 1
Staff development student holidays will occur Sept. 28, Nov. 3 and Jan. 5. Teacher prep student holidays will be Nov. 2 and Jan. 4. Students will get an early release Dec. 18.

The second semester will be Jan. 6 through May 27, 2027. Staff and student holidays in the second semester will take place on the following 2027 dates:
  • Jan. 18
  • March 8-12
  • March 26, 29
  • April 23
One staff development student holiday will take place in 2027, scheduled for Feb. 26.


April 2 and May 28 are teacher prep student holidays, and May 27 is set as an early release.
