The DoSeum is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year.

The background

Originally established in 1995 as the San Antonio Children’s Museum, a new facility was built at 2800 Broadway and was re-branded The DoSeum in 2015.

The DoSeum held its annual State of The DoSeum breakfast event Jan. 28 in celebration of its milestone anniversary and unveiled its new mascot, Baxter The Robot, according to a Jan. 28 press release.

Baxter was debuted by San Antonio actor Celestina Harris with opening remarks by The DoSeum’s CEO Dan Menelly, according to the release.

The DoSeum offers 68,000-square feet of interactive space featuring more than 250 exhibits, according to its website. The museum provides STEM, art and literary experiences for children up to 11 years old.

The DoSeum also announced it will introduce new camp themes, workshops and other experiences for children with support from a grant from The Meadows Foundation.

What else?

On June 6, The DoSeum will have a birthday bash and invites the community to enjoy free admission all day.
