On Nov. 1, the San Antonio International Airport is implementing its updated Disabled Veteran & Military Plates Parking Program.

The details

According to a news release, the updated program will provide parking privileges to Texas-registered disabled veterans or anyone with military specialty license plates.

Individuals enrolled in the program receive:
  • Complimentary parking up to 30 days in economy lots
  • 50% discount in long-term garage
  • 25% discount in short-term garage
  • Parking reservations
  • Purple Heart and POW parking will remain complimentary
According to the news release, individuals will need to enroll to receive these benefits. The process will take between three to five business days, the release states. During the enrollment process, applicants are advised to wait for approval before making a parking reservation. Reservations made prior to receiving approval will be charged the standard posted rate, the news release states.

SA Airport enrollment assistance:
  • Applicants can fill out the enrollment form online at www.flysatparking.com/dv.
  • Applicants can schedule an in-person appointment via request form or by calling 210-207-3490.
  • Applicants can visit with an Airport Ambassador, who will be on site throughout November.
  • Applicants can attend one of the upcoming enrollment events Oct. 30, Nov. 1 and Nov. 6, 11 a.m.-6 p.m. at the SAT Parking Office, 9453 Airport Blvd., San Antonio
According to the news release, enrolled participants’ license plates will be linked to the Metropolis parking system, which gives access to program privileges, including seamless drive-in and drive-out access to all parking facilities. Complimentary and discounted rates will be applied automatically.
