As of March 2, American Airlines will offer the only nonstop flights between San Antonio International Airport and Washington Reagan National Airport.

During the week of Dec. 16-20, the U.S. Department of Transportation formally approved American Airlines’ application to become the only carrier operating nonstop service between D.C.’s Reagan National Airport and San Antonio International Airport. Tickets for the new service will be available for sale beginning Dec. 23.

“This long-awaited connection to our nation’s capital is a game changer for our community, opening doors to countless opportunities for travel and economic development,” San Antonio Mayor Ron Nirenberg said. “We look forward to the positive impact this nonstop service will have for years to come."
