Les Dames d’Escoffier San Antonio, also known as LDEISA, is celebrating its 30-year anniversary this year.
The local nonprofit gives scholarships and opportunities to women looking for careers in the culinary and hospitality world, according to its website.
What’s special about it
The organization was founded in 1995 and has awarded over $294,000 in scholarships and over $200,000 to “women owned culinary ventures,” according to a news release. LDEISA also offers educational programs to. help community members learn about food, sustainability and gardening.
