What’s special about it
The organization was founded in 1995 and has awarded over $294,000 in scholarships and over $200,000 to “women owned culinary ventures,” according to a news release. LDEISA also offers educational programs to. help community members learn about food, sustainability and gardening.
The nonprofit is comprised of over 100 members—all part of the culinary and hospitality scene in San Antonio—from business owners to chefs to food reviewers, the release states.
