The Bexar County Emergency Services District No. 3, or ESD 3, and the Bexar-Bulverde Fire Department are building a new fire station on West Borgfeld Road.

The details

Known as Fire Station 103, the new station will replace the existing station on West Borgfeld Road, which was built almost sixty years ago.

The new facility will include state-of-the-art equipment, expanded staff and provide improved service delivery for approximately 20,000 residents. It will also have an upstairs meeting room, which will be available for events, such as HOA meetings. The station will also feature a new training facility.

“We’re proud to be good stewards of taxpayer dollars—we have the second-lowest tax rate of all ESDs in Bexar County—yet we continue to invest in the best equipment and training,” said Jerry Bialick, executive director of Bexar County ESD No. 3. “This new station ensures we can deliver the high level of service our community expects and deserves, and it allows us to give back by opening our doors to the people we serve.”
