According to city documents, these plans were developed by a partnership between the Economic Development Department and greater:SATX Regional Economic Partnership, and are in accordance with the City’s Strategic Framework, which was approved by City Council in 2022.
Built on gSATX’s strategy of three pillars of growing jobs, building people and improving place, the 2025 Operations Plan will continue to focus on attracting company-driven initiatives in biomedical/health care, cybersecurity, advanced manufacturing, financial services and aerospace.
The 2025 FDIA plan supplies $194,250 for attraction efforts of key industries from South Korea, Europe, Canada, select US events and Japan.
The agreement also earmarks $829,250 from the FY 2024-25 General Fund Budget. The total 2025 budget is $8.35 million. Funding for renewals of the agreement are subject to City Council approval of the annual budget and funds.Looking ahead
According to city documents, 2025 is the fifth and final year of the gSATX All In strategy. Currently, gSATX is budgeting for the development of the organization’s 2030 Strategic Plan, which will continue the city’s efforts in recruitment, growth and foreign direct investment.
