The city of Hill Country Village will hold the first of what local officials said could be multiple town halls on a potential bond election.

The first town hall will be held at 7 p.m. Aug. 2 at City Hall, 116 Aspen Lane.

A second town hall is scheduled for 10 a.m. Aug. 13 at City Hall.

According to the meeting agenda, city officials want residents’ comments on whether to fix or replace the City Hall complex or build a new municipal facility on part of a city-owned, undeveloped tract at 300 W. Bitters Road.

City leaders have recently discussed whether to call a special bond election this November or in May 2023 toward supporting a City Hall project.

City Council members have indicated they would like to have two or three town halls to solicit public input before deciding later in August whether to call a November bond vote. The state deadline to schedule a Nov. 8 election is Aug. 22.
