Riverwalk musical performances, a rock music festival and the opening of a library-based art exhibit are among major events happening in San Antonio from Aug. 2-4.

Fiesta Noche del Río

Alamo Kiwanis Club will wrap up another season of Fiesta Noche del Río, an annual series of summer evening musical and dance performances along the San Antonio Riverwalk. The event showcases the best of Spanish, Mexican, Latin and Texan music and dance at the Arneson River Theatre. The Kiwanis Club supports local youth charities and initiatives.Collective Care Fest

Bajo La Sal, a multimedia portrait series by Mauro de la Tierra and Joshua Anthony Rodriguez, will begin showing at the Central Library in downtown San Antonio. Bajo La Sal, which translates to “under the salt," aims to encapsulate and document San Antonio’s diverse culture and history.

Dog day at the park


Phil Hardberger Park Conservancy will invite dogs and their owners to enjoy snacks (for humans and dogs), games and more at the Blanco Road dog park.Rock music festival

Chancla Academy Rock Fest is a two-day event where two stages will be filled with live area rock music acts, including Pinata Protest. There will also be food, wrestling matches and unique vendors.Yoga in the park

Clear Light Coffee Co. and the city of San Antonio will provide a free community yoga class at Walker Ranch Park. The class is available to all ages, no yoga experience necessary. Attendees may enjoy free drip coffee afterward at either Clear Light Coffee, near Walker Ranch Park or in Castle Hills.
