With results of the Nov. 4 election updated Nov. 17, North East ISD voters approved propositions A-C and voted against propositions D and E, approving roughly 97%, or approximately $483 million of the bond.

According to the NEISD’s website, the bond will fund critical infrastructure, such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing and mechanical upgrades across the district, purchase new school buses and police patrol vehicles, and upgrade the district’s technology and cybersecurity infrastructure.

Proposition A, which accounts for over 80% of the bond, passed with 60.41% of the vote. The proposition will fund general infrastructure repairs, such as a new roof for the main building at Bush Middle School and constructing permanent shade structures along the perimeter of band marching areas at all high schools.

Proposition B, which accounts for 10.8% of the bond, passed with 56.62% of the vote. The proposition will fund technology upgrades, including to the technology for all NEISD high school newspaper and journalism programs; fund replacements for classroom digital document cameras used for instruction across the district; and purchase updated classroom projection devices.


Proposition C, which accounts for 5.9% of the bond, passed with 50.11% of the vote. The proposition will fund renovations and upgrades to Littleton Gym, such as new bleachers, a new gym floor and scoreboards; and upgrades and renovations of the soccer fields' facilities at Blossom Athletic Center.

Proposition D, which failed to pass with 53.15% voting against, would have funded additional upgrades to the North East Sports Park, Blossom Athletic Center and Heroes Stadium.

Proposition E, which failed to pass with 50.27% voting against, would have funded upgrades to Josh Davis Pool.

Updated election results:
  • Proposition A: 41,349, or 60.41% voted in support, while 27,099, or 39.59% voted against.
  • Proposition B: 38,585, or 56.62%, voted for the proposition, while 29,563, or 43.38%, voted against.
  • Proposition C: 34,117 or 50.11%, voted in support, while 33,967 or 49.89% voted against.
  • Proposition D: 31,779, or 46.85%, voted in support, while 36,054, or 53.15%, against.
  • Proposition E: 33,718 or 49.73%, voted in support, while 34,085 or 50.27%, against.
The background


Bond projects were selected after a review by a facilities steering committee, which was formed in December 2024. The committee consisted of parents, community members and NEISD staff.

Bond funds can not be used for daily operating expenses, including salaries and utilities, which are paid using the district’s maintenance and operation budget. Bond funds can only be used for approved capital projects.
