New coffee and taco spot set to open in New Braunfels

A new restaurant and coffee spot is opening soon in New Braunfels.

Lulu's Coffee y Tacos is anticipated to open this spring at 1847 W. Hwy. 46, Ste. A, owner Jessica Celedon told Community Impact.

Lulu's Coffee y Tacos will sell coffee and breakfast tacos, taking over a 1,350-square-foot facility. The business will also offer drive-thru availability for those on the go, Celedon said.

A national chicken restaurant is now open in the Schertz Station development.

Dave's Hot Chicken opened within the Schertz Station development at 18476 I-35 N., Ste. 500 on Jan. 9. This is the fast-casual restaurant's fourth San Antonio area location.

Dave's Hot Chicken sells chicken tenders, boneless chicken bites, slider sandwiches and buffalo chicken and mac and cheese.

High-end restaurant Katerina to open soon in Stone Oak

A new upscale restaurant is on its way to the Stone Oak neighborhood of North San Antonio.

Latest update

Called Katerina Restaurant, the eatery plans to open soon at 18740 Stone Oak Parkway, according to its website.


As of press time, no specific opening date has been announced by the business, but construction is well underway on-site.

The restaurant’s location was the former home of Frida Mexican Restaurant & Bar, which closed in September 2024, according to previous reporting from Community Impact.

The Kendall Restaurant replaces Peggy's On the Green at Boerne hotel


A new dining experience has opened at The Kendall, a historic Hill Country hotel that first opened in 1859.

In case you missed it

The Kendall Restaurant officially opened its doors to the public Dec. 18, according to an announcement on the business's social media.

It’s located at 128 W. Blanco Road in downtown Boerne, next to the Main Plaza.

The eatery is the former home of Peggy’s On the Green, a restaurant that first opened in 2016 at the hotel and closed Nov. 30, according to previous reporting from Community Impact.
