El Bucanero at Embassy Oaks will celebrate its 10-year anniversary with a DJ, live music, a magician, prizes and other family friendly activities Oct. 27.

The backstory

The seafood restaurant opened its Embassy Oaks location in October 2014, and is managed by Elizabeth Cervantes, who is the daughter-in-law to owner Julio Cervantes. After opening the first restaurant with sister Reyna in California, the brother-sister duo decided to move the business to Texas and established El Bucanero on Blanco Road in 2012.

El Bucanero serves Sinaloa-style seafood, including aguachiles, ceviche, loaded molcajetes with grilled meats and seafood, soups, fried fish plates, signature drinks and more.

The anniversary event will start at 2 p.m., followed by a live band from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to wear costumes.
