A new Holiday Inn Express is estimated to open in North San Antonio in 2026.

Known as Holiday Inn Express-Tacara Stone Oak, the new location will be a short distance from Six Flags Fiesta Texas and the RIM.

Designed for short-stay business travelers, the Holiday Inn Express offers guests a free, hot breakfast daily, free Wi-Fi and in-room coffee and tea.

According to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, construction on the new hotel is estimated to begin June 1, 2025 and be completed June 1, 2026. The cost for the construction of the new 54,368 square-foot hotel is estimated at $4.9 million.
