Alamo City Urgent Care, a local chain of urgent care clinics, will open in north central San Antonio this summer.

Representatives for Alamo City Urgent Care said they hope to finish a renovation project in a retail center at Brookhollow Boulevard and San Pedro Avenue, and open the new clinic before the end of July.

According to a Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation filing, officials with Alamo City Urgent Care began a $610,000 remodeling project on a 4,067-square-foot commercial space in April.

Alamo City Urgent Care's providers treat various ailments, including back pain, abdominal discomfort, chest pain, viral and bacterial infections, the flu, seasonal colds, pneumonia, acute injuries, and sports-related injuries.

Alamo City Urgent Care has X-ray units, offers an online check-in system and accepts most insurances.

The San Pedro Avenue location near Hill Country Village will be the fourth location for Alamo City Urgent Care, which has clinics on the west side and south side.
