Officials with the San Antonio Zoo unveiled 12 climbable sculptures, called Pollinators, on Feb. 23, according to a news release.

The sculptures are located in the Go Wild realm and offer a hands-on activity that educates visitors on different types of pollinators and how they help plants reproduce and support ecosystems. The attraction will also teach visitors how to help pollinators thrive, according to the news release.
Tim Morrow, president and CEO of the San Antonio Zoo, said pollinators are essential to life on our planet, yet many are overlooked.
“This attraction brings their stories to life in a fun, engaging way while inspiring our community to take action to protect the species that sustain our ecosystems,” Morrow said in the release.

Sculptures throughout the Go Wild realm include:
- Rusty patched bumblebee on a purple flower
- Mexican long-tongued bat
- Chocolate midge
- Fig wasp on a fig
- Fly emerging from a corpse flower
- Mosquito on a flower mound
- Black-and-white ruffed lemurs eating flowers
- Hummingbird hawk moth on a flattened flower
- Palm oil weevil
- Madagascar day gecko with flower
- Monarch butterfly on Mexican torch sunflower
- Hummingbird with orange trumpet vine
The Pollinators attraction will be included in standard zoo admission and is free for all members through April 26.
