Shavano Park 2025 Arbor/Earth Day Celebration
Shavano Park is hosting its annual Arbor/Earth Day event at Shavano Park City Hall. The event will include a scavenger hunt, kid’s crafts, face painting, a petting zoo, pony rides, caricatures and plant and tree giveaways. Attendees can also enjoy a Bird Show by Sky Kings Falconry and a guided bird walk by Bexar Audubon South Central Texas. Junkluggers will be on hand to collect electronics and e-waste, Universal Paper Shredding will be in attendance and accepting papers to shred and Atlas Organics will be on hand to collect organic compound pickups.

The Crown Jewel: Fiesta Medal Reveal & Kickoff Party

AfroSocaLove: San Antonio One Love Music Show

13th Annual San Antonio Book Festival
The book festival will be held at the Central Library and UTSA Southwest Campus. Attendees can attend multiple readings and literary sessions featuring a wide variety of authors and genres. The event will include food trucks, beer and wine, book and merchandise vendors, caricature artists and life-sized games.

The Great Texas Freedom Fest
The Joint Base San Antonio-Fort Sam Houston is hosting the Great Texas Freedom Fest, where attendees can explore a historic military base. The festival celebrates the city’s deep bond with the armed forces. Attendees can enjoy live performances, a drone show, demonstrations, family friendly activities and fireworks. The public will be able to enter the base through Harry Wurzbach Road. Department of Defense ID cardholders will also be able to enter through the Walters and Winans gates.
