Security Service Charitable Foundation on April 25 donated $2,500 to Kinetic Kids of San Antonio to help provide children with special needs financial assistance so they can pursue adapted sports programs.
“Our scholarship program ensures that no child is ever turned away from our programs for inability to pay,” Kinetic Kids grant writer Janine Sauer said in a statement. “Thanks to this generous donation from the Security Service Charitable Foundation, we can continue to provide many children with opportunities to participate in one of their favorite sports or fine arts and make dreams come true.”
A news release said the donation from the foundation, the charitable arm of Security Service Federal Credit Union, will be used to provide children with scholarships for programs offered by Kinetic Kids.
The donation covers 33 children with a full scholarship or 71 children with a partial scholarship, the release said. SSFCU officials said because of this support, children with special needs can participate, even if their family lacks the financial means to enroll.
