The Alamo Area Metropolitan Planning Organization will host six public meetings in June to gather feedback on transportation projects and programs competing for $256 million in funding.

The overview

AAMPO is currently developing its Transportation Improvement Program for fiscal years 2027-30 and is seeking community feedback on proposed projects.

Funding recommendations will be presented to AAMPO’s Transportation Policy Board Executive Committee, which will consider approval for plan updates in May.

To reach different regions of San Antonio, AAMPO will hold six public meetings where TxDOT will provide updates on major highway projects, according to a May 27 news release.


Meetings will be held at the following dates and locations:
  • Guadalupe County: June 5, Seguin Public Library, 313 W Nolte St, Seguin
  • Bexar County Northeast: June 1, Northeast Service Center, 10303 Tool Yard, San Antonio
  • Medina County: June 12, Potranco Elementary School, 190 CR 381 South, San Antonio
  • Comal County: June 17, New Braunfels Civic/Convention Center, 375 S Castell Ave, New Braunfels
  • Kendall County: June 25, Kronkosky Place, 17 Old San Antonio Road, Boerne
  • Bexar County West: June 26, The Boeing Center at Tech Port (Tech Port Studios), 3331 General Hudnell Drive, San Antonio

“The public’s thoughts and opinions are essential in determining our region’s transportation priorities,” said Sonia Jiménez, interim executive director at AAMPO said in the release. “These meetings are a chance for community members to learn about what’s happening now with TxDOT’s highway projects and to help shape what’s next by weighing in on projects that directly affect their daily travel, their communities, and our shared future.”
