Democrat Nahomie Alanis garnered 22.71%, followed by Libertarian Nolan Schmidt with 4.47% of the vote, unofficial results show.

With polls closing in Guadalupe County at 7 p.m., the first batch of unofficial election results show Republican Jacqueline "Jackie" Ott leading in the race for Guadalupe County commissioner, Precinct 1, according to unofficial results from Guadalupe County.
What readers need to know
As of 6:58 p.m., Ott has 12,524 votes, compared to Democrat Nahomie Alanis, who has 3,871 votes, and Libertarian Nolan Schmidt has 685 votes, official results show.
The background
Greg Seidenberger, a longtime Guadalupe County commissioner for Precinct 1, is not seeking re-election. The Republican was first elected to the position in 2012.
Precinct 1 covers much of the Guadalupe County side of New Braunfels and reaches to the northeastern portion of Seguin and into McQueeney. Precinct 1 also stretches to the southern part of the county, bordering Gonzales and Wilson counties, according to Guadalupe County maps.
