A Texas-favorite burger joint is expanding in New Braunfels, opening a brand new location in the city.

San Antonio-based burger chain Whataburger opened at 1825 Hwy. 46 on Dec. 15, according to a news release from the business. The new restaurant is the chain's fourth overall location in New Braunfels, according to its store locator.

“Opening our fourth location in New Braunfels is about more than growth—it’s about deepening our roots in an amazing community,” Operating Partner Michael Watts said in the release. “This city has shown us so much love, and now it’s our turn to make sure that every neighborhood has the same access to our fresh, made-to-order goodness."

The chain was founded in Corpus Christi in 1950 and moved its headquarters to San Antonio in 2009, according to its website. The restaurant—which features a drive-thru, dining room and online ordering options—sells burgers, chicken sandwiches, taquitos, salads and more.
