A new clothing company has set its roots in New Braunfels, owned and operated by a local resident.

In case you missed it

Juniper & James officially launched in July, Owner James Elledge told Community Impact.

The clothing line is being sold at Gruene Outfitters, at 1206 Gruene Road, Ste. 103 and Elledge said he plans to expand from there in the future.

The details

Named after his twin daughter and son, Juniper and James, Elledge said he wanted to create clothing that was both unique and useful for people in New Braunfels and throughout Texas.

"I learned about breathable fabrics from my time outdoors and through my experience starting up Duck Camp, a fishing and hunting apparel brand," he said. "Our fabrics are built for Texas' hot climate."

Customers can choose from shorts and polos, plus, a line of pants will be launching later this fall, Elledge said.

Primarily designed for golf outings and sporting activities, Elledge said it can also be used for general lifestyle purposes.

“It’s a better fit for performance, with Southern flair,” he said.

In the future, Elledge said he plans to add a line of women’s clothing and try to reach markets beyond Central Texas.

"Women need the same quality performance golf apparel for on-course wear that transitions effortlessly to everyday wear," he said.
