Pedego, a California-based e-bike franchise, recently relocated its New Braunfels store from 133 Hampe St., to around the corner at a South Seguin Avenue spot.

The details

Pedego became a popular spot for e-bike fans in Central Texas, said Maggie Green, Social Media Manager at Pedego New Braunfels, offering e-bikes that go up to 20 miles per hour.

They sell and rent Pedego bikes, as well as service them and other types of bikes too, Green said.

"We're pleased with our new location," Green said. "It allows us to better serve our community and expand our offerings."

Kristen Pokey, owner of Pedego New Braunfels, actively advocates for enhancing local bike infrastructure and safety measures. She volunteers on a subcommittee supporting downtown historical revitalization and engages with the city's transportation department to advocate for improved bike lanes, accessible bike racks, and trails.

"I believe that investing in bike-friendly infrastructure is crucial for our community's health and connectivity," Green said. "We need more bike lanes, secure racks, and safe trails to encourage more people to choose biking as a sustainable mode of transportation."

As Pedego settles into their new location, Green said they aim to strengthen community connections and make biking accessible and enjoyable for everyone.
