Selma’s Fire Station No. 1, located at 9375 Corporate Drive, will be undergoing a remodel to increase operational efficiency and accommodate the department’s recent addition of fire battalion chiefs, according to a news release.

Selma City Council selected a contractor for design build services for the remodel of Fire Station No. 1, authorizing the city administrator to sign an AIA DesignBuild Agreement on Feb. 13.
Funding for the project—which costs $200,000—was approved as part of the city’s 2024-25 fire department operating budget. The remodel will consist of a Battalion Chief’s Quarters with an additional bunk room, new bathroom and shower facilities, according to a news release.
