The organization SA Digital Connects and the Texas Broadband Development Office are asking the public for input on internet accessibility, affordability and adoption.
According to a news release, the BDO will use an ongoing survey to develop a Texas Digital Opportunity Plan, which is required to apply for federal funding to connect all Texans to reliable, high-speed internet.
Representatives for SA Digital Connects, a public-private collaborative, said the bilingual survey includes a speed test of a survey user’s home internet. The survey closes at the end of June.
SADC is implementing the San Antonio/Bexar County Digital Equity Plan and has been working with the BDO to close the digital divide for more than 20% of local residents who do not have high-speed, reliable and affordable internet.
