Live Oak's 2022 bond projects nearing completion

Live Oak City Council awarded a $391.8K contract to Clark Construction of Texas Inc. for the fourth and final phase of its 2022 bond on May 27.

In a nutshell

Contract funds will be used for five road improvement projects: Bay Wave, Forest Ash, Forest Stream, Forest Summit and Fox Crest. The cost will fund new concrete curbs, adjust existing manhole and add a hot mix of asphaltic pavement, according to agenda documents.

How we got here

Live Oak voters passed an $18 bond in 2022 to be used for work on roads, bridges and sidewalks.

Next steps.

The final phase is anticipated to be completed by the end of July, Director of Public Works Mark Wagster said.
