Fair Oaks Ranch enters contract with Bexar County ESD No. 4 for ambulance services
The city of Fair Oaks Ranch will enter a contract with Bexar County Emergency Services District No. 4 for emergency medical transport services. This contract follows the upcoming expiration of a contract with Acadian Ambulance Service, which is expiring at the end of April. The contract with Bexar County ESD 4 will be effective April 1.
According to the agenda, the proposed $6,125 monthly payment to ESD 4 is a budgeted expense for fiscal year 2024-25. This payment is identical to the prorated portion of the expiring agreement with Acadian.
Boerne officials review water concerns; City on track to have water until at least 2060
As drought conditions continue across the San Antonio region, Boerne residents have raised concerns about the water supply.
To help address some of those concerns, Utilities Director Michael Mann shared an update with City Council on March 11 on the current water capacity and the outlook for the city water supply. Mann said while the city is facing a prolonged drought, he is confident in the direction the city is going and the capabilities to serve current residents and the forecasted developments, at least until around 2060-70.
Boerne City Council approves gas line extension for eastern Boerne
To keep up with gas demands for new developments in the eastern portion of Boerne, City Council on March 11 approved a resolution to modify the construction of the East Loop Natural Gas Main. This resolution is a modification of the original project, which was awarded to Badeco Boring & Utilities.
Utilities Director Michael Mann said city staff did forecast the growth and number of lines correctly when planning the project, but larger meters and other industry changes in gas appliances led to a demand increase.
