Fair Oaks Ranch moves forward with Facilities Master Plan

The document is planned to cover long-term needs, up to 10 or 15 years, evaluating factors such as growth to plan for additional facility space.

According to the March 19 agenda, the following facilities will be evaluated:

• City Hall
• Police Department
• Public Works Offices and Maintenance Barn
• Public Works Parts Warehouse
• Public Works Shed
• Fair Oaks Ranch Homeowners' Association building
• Old Police Department building
• Fire Stations No. 2 and No. 3, located at 7899 Fair Oaks Parkway and 30955 Meadow Creek Trail
• Elevated Water Storage Tank site

This will be the first Facilities Master Plan conducted by the city.

Council member Scott Parker said he believes the plan will help guide future projects and ensure city facilities are getting the most use.

“It is a crystal ball thing,” he said. “We don’t know what the future is going to bring, but at least it will be a living document that we can work from to see what we will need in 10 years.”
