Fair Oaks Ranch City Council approves GBRA reimbursement for Ammann Road waterline relocation

On March 19, Fair Oaks Ranch City Council approved a resolution authorizing the reimbursement of engineering and construction services for the waterline near the southern curve.

The breakdown

Project Manager Kelsey Delgado explained that with the curve softening of Ammann Road, the road infrastructure will be placed over the GBRA lines, which results in the need for the lines to be relocated deeper.

The total design construction cost is estimated at around $860,000. Delgado said of the $16 million approved by voters in 2024, around $14.57 million has been allocated, leaving roughly $1.4 million in bond funds that can be used to cover the reimbursement.

City Manager Scott Huizenga explained that the reimbursement cost is the maximum authorization the city can give for the project, and any increases to the cost will be brought to City Council for further direction.

With the reimbursement, the total cost of the Ammann Road Reconstruction project is estimated at around $7.07 million.

Delgado said the GBRA project design is expected to be completed in the spring, with construction starting in the summer. The reconstruction of Ammann Road is planned for early 2027.
