Field 11 at Northrup Park has been enhanced with light improvements, a new field mix and other renovations.
Boerne City Council, on March 3, celebrated the opening of the field improvements, which were funded through 2022 voter-approved bonds.

In early 2025, Boerne City Council approved lighting and field improvements to Field 11 at Northrup Park.
Of the $13 million approved by voters in 2022, around $1.4 million was utilized for enhancements to Field 11 at Northrup Park, alongside improvements at Boerne City Park.
During the opening event, City Manager Ben Thatcher said the improvements at Northrup Park addressed drainage, accessibility, infield and outfield replacements, dark-sky compliant lighting and long-term maintenance needs that ensure the park is able to serve the needs of the community.
“When we elevate our parks, we elevate the experience of our residents and visitors,” Thatcher said during the ceremony.
