Northbound lane of Fair Oaks Parkway to be closed June 9-13

From June 9-13, the northbound lane of Fair Oaks Parkway between Pimlico Lane and Dietz Elkhorn will be under construction.

The details

Construction will be for a mill and overlay, which is a street rehabilitation technique that requires the removal of the top layer of a street. After the top layer is removed, a new layer of asphalt pavement is put in its place, according to the city website.

During construction, traffic will be redirected from Pimlico Lane to Riva Ridge Drive, then to Sendero Ridge, Windermere Drive and turning west onto Dietz Elkhorn Road.

Also during construction, drivers turning north onto Fair Oaks Parkway from Pimlico Lane will be redirected, and Windemere Drive will be closed to through traffic attempting to access Fair Oaks Parkway. Access to Fair Oaks Plaza will remain open.
