A locally-owned home goods and decor store is closing its doors on the Hill Country Mile this fall.

What’s happening

JAC’s Personal Touch, located at 170 S. Main St., Ste. 100, will be closing permanently at the beginning of October, or until inventory fully runs out.

Owned by Jac and Bill Spruce, the business first opened in 1989.

The shop made its way to its current location in 2000, the couple’s daughter, Suzy Spruce, told Community Impact.

Spruce said the business will close due to her parents’ official retirement.

The background

JAC’s Personal Touch offers an eclectic variety of rustic home decor, from centerpieces and wreaths to candles and lazy susans, Spruce said.

Additionally, a collection of paintings, postcards and other wall art is available to customers.

The context

The home decor store is just one of several Main Street businesses that are planning to close this year in Boerne.

259 Main Street Market, another home decor store, will be closing in early October, as previously reported by Community Impact.

Longbranch Saloon, a locally owned bar and pool hall in the city, will also be closing this fall as its owner plans to retire.
