Owner Bertus Stiehler, a native South African and longtime dance instructor, opened a new studio within the Ministry of Dance at 615 S. Main St., in Boerne on Aug. 18.
The studio is located behind the main ballroom and is used primarily for children's lessons and practices.
What’s changed
Originally offering only ballroom dance classes, Stiehler said interest in the community began to grow toward other performances.
“Now it’s everything, and we have more lessons for kids,” Stiehler said.
Other dance lessons and styles offered include jazz, tap, athletic freestyle, lyrical, hip hop and more, Stiehler said.
Both private and group classes are available to interested dancers, and the studio also has two different competitive teams, called Seraphim and Cherubim. Individuals can also rent the ballroom for private events.
