On April 14, the Greater Boerne Chamber of Commerce alongside Boerne Emergency Room staff, area businesses and local officials, broke ground on the new facility. The facility will be staffed by board-certified emergency physicians, offering 24 hour care to the community, including pediatric care.Kiddie Academy

A new early childhood education and child care business plans to open a location in Boerne. Kiddie Academy is a tuition-based program for children between 6 weeks and 12 years old. According to the permit, the 11,000-square-foot building will include a 10,800-square-foot playground area. The campus will serve a capacity of around 175 children.Chicken Salad Chick


Alabama-based chicken salad restaurant chain Chicken Salad Chick is exploring options for opening a Boerne location in 2025. The 28,639-square-foot facility will bring the total service department to 39,054 square feet, making it one of the largest in the region, according to an April news release. Kendall County Historic Jail Museum

The museum is open on the second and fourth Saturdays of each month from 10 a.m.-2 p.m., offering the community an opportunity to look into the history of the county.
