Learn more about six Round Rock transportation projects, including roads that are under construction and newly completed.
Ongoing projects
CR 112 expansion
Project: The project will expand the road from two lanes to a six-lane divided road with a center median, pedestrian features, curbs and gutters, and an updated storm drainage system.
Update: A traffic signal at the intersection of CR 112 and CR 110 was activated in October.
Gattis School Road Segment 6 widening
Project: This project will widen the existing four-lane roadway to a six-lane arterial thoroughfare with a raised median between Via Sonoma Trail and Red Bud Lane.
Update: Project costs were reduced by $198,000 after Google Fiber opted out of adding a conduit along the roadway in October, slightly reducing the scope. The internet provider’s site indicates service is not yet available in this area.
Greenlawn Boulevard widening
Project: The city is reconstructing Greenlawn Boulevard from an existing four-lane divided roadway to a six-lane divided road with pedestrian and lighting improvements. Design for the project now includes a traffic signal and a turn lane near the IDEA Public Schools campus.
Update: Traffic patterns will change in November as crews begin work on a northbound bridge.
North Mays Street & Immortal 10 Bridge repaving
Project: This project includes a repavement of parts of North Mays Street and the Immortal 10 Bridge, also known as the Mays Street bridge. City staff said the project is needed because recent work on the bridge and street left the pavement uneven.
Update: The city’s public works department added the project to its Arterial Maintenance Program in October, rather than bidding out the repavement as a new project.
Completed projects
2026 Residential Street Maintenance Program
Project: The project will resurface some city streets in residential areas, patch roadways where needed, and repair driveway approaches, curbs and sidewalks. This year’s program includes sections of the Chisholm Valley, Windy Park, Stone Oak and Indian Ridge subdivisions.
Update: Construction wrapped up on streets in the four subdivisions in October.
Wyoming Springs Drive extension
Project: The project includes construction of a four-lane divided roadway with shared-use paths, extending over Brushy Creek from Creek Bend Boulevard to Old Settlers Boulevard.
Update: The roadway opened to traffic Oct. 22.
