Baylor Scott & White will add an additional endoscopy procedure room at its Round Rock medical center over the coming months, a representative with the healthcare system confirmed.
The details
Construction on the $1.05 million expansion will begin in September and last until late February, a project filing from the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation shows.
The additional procedure room will be built within shell space created through the hospital campus’s expansion over the past several years, the representative said. This comes as the hospital system is experiencing increased demand for endoscopies, which involve using a flexible tube with a light and camera to look inside the body.
