Round Rock City Council will vote to amend the maximum price for the Rock’N River water park expansion at its meeting Dec. 19. The $19.3 million expansion is a part of the bigger Old Settlers Park buildout project.
What’s happening
Round Rock contracted SpawGlass to work on the Old Settlers buildout, including the water park expansion. New features for the water park include a “total action” river, a VIP section with space for rental and an additional pool. The city has plans to keep the original water park open while constructing the new additions.
The buildout for the water park will take about 14 months, with plans to start construction in January. This portion of Old Settlers park also includes about 160 additional parking spaces.
