Round Rock City Council approved a proposed settlement with the Community Homeowners Association of Lake Forest, marking the final right-of-way acquisition needed for the Gattis School Road Segment 6 expansion on Nov. 20.
What’s happening?
City engineers told council members the agreement would provide the city with 0.65 acres of HOA-owned frontage along Gattis School Road. The settlement includes $450,000 in compensation, most of which covers the relocation of the Lake Forest subdivision’s monument signs and related landscaping.
Under the proposal, the city will also install two underground 4-inch conduit sleeves beneath Lake Forest Drive so the HOA can reconnect electrical and irrigation lines to its rebuilt signs.
