Round Rock council extends agreement with Meadows at Chandler Creek MUD to negotiate infrastructure responsibility
A municipal utility district and the city of Round Rock will have about six more months to negotiate responsibility for the maintenance and replacement of water, wastewater and other utility infrastructure.
The Round Rock City Council approved a measure granting this extension in June, just before it was set to expire.

$44.5M Round Rock Veterans Affairs outpatient clinic breaks ground
City, county, state and federal officials broke ground on a $44.5 million Veterans Affairs outpatient clinic in Round Rock on June 18.
As reported by Community Impact in June, Veterans Affairs data shows that Williamson County is home to nearly 40,000 veterans. Despite a growing population, the only Austin-area VA health care clinics are located in Cedar Park and southeast Austin, limiting nearby care options for area veterans.
To help close this gap, the Central Texas Veterans Health Care System is building a $44.5 million VA outpatient clinic in Round Rock. The 63,808-square-foot facility is expected to open in 2027 and provide primary and preventative care, mental health support, and other specialty services.

Construction underway for mountain bike trail in northwest Round Rock
A new city-owned mountain biking trail is under construction in Round Rock.
Nature-based mountain biking trails are coming to a city-owned park, the city of Round Rock shared via social media June 2.
The city provided an update on construction, which began earlier this year.
