Smith Contracting Co., Inc. will lead a project to widen Chisholm Trail Road in Round Rock. The remaining two-lane section of the road will be expanded to match the five-lane section.
About the project
The project is a continuation of previous work to widen the road in response to anticipated traffic in the area, according to former Director of Transportation Gary Hudder. It will continue road work up to the Amazon facility.
There were 10 bidders for the project. Round Rock City Council approved the contract for $6,774,712.15 at the July 25 meeting.
