What would your priorities be if elected?

1) Elevate least performing students while challenging high performing ones. 2) Reduce discipline referrals impacting Black, Brown, and underserved students. 3) Become an advocate for educators and public schools at the next legislative session.

What should readers know about you?

I’ve called Round Rock home since 2000 and have served our schools and community for nearly two decades—from volunteering and mentoring students to PTA leadership and serving on the Citizens Bond Committee to now the Board of Trustees. I have the trusted experience to make the Board even stronger.

What do you feel is the most pressing issue facing Round Rock ISD at this time?

As a result of the last budget cycle, Round Rock ISD is having to make difficult funding decisions. Since the State continues to underfund public schools, RRISD has to make hard choices to stay balanced. We must, however, do it with transparency to avoid misinformation and community backlash.

What would your priorities be if elected?

My priorities are improving student achievement, supporting and retaining exceptional teachers, ensuring safe schools, strengthening fiscal responsibility, and increasing transparency and accountability. I will focus district resources on the classroom, promote responsible stewardship of taxpayer dollars, and ensure decisions put students first while rebuilding trust with families and the community.

What should readers know about you?

I am a veteran, educator, quality executive, and community leader committed to service and accountability. My leadership experience has taught me to listen, solve problems, manage resources responsibly, and focus on measurable results. I will bring an independent, student-centered perspective and work collaboratively to strengthen Round Rock ISD.

What do you feel is the most pressing issue facing Round Rock ISD at this time?

Round Rock ISD’s most pressing challenge is improving student achievement while retaining excellent teachers and maintaining financial stability. The district must keep resources focused on classrooms, address staffing pressures, use taxpayer dollars responsibly, and rebuild trust through transparent, accountable decision-making centered on student success.
