An energy technology company will locate its headquarters and a manufacturing operation in Round Rock, the Round Rock Chamber announced in July.

The details
The company is locally owned by CEO Kirtan Nagavarapu, who developed the business through several Chamber programs such as 1 Million Cups Round Rock and the gBeta accelerator.
According to the announcement, the company designs mobile power systems serving both defense and commercial markets. With rugged design, the units provide grid-optional power for military operations, disaster response, municipalities, construction sites as well as other remote applications, according to the Chamber. This model reduces reliance on fuel and enhances energy security, the announcement states.

Between 1 Million Cups, gBETA Round Rock, and the Chamber's Defense Innovation Fund, this community has been actively invested in giving us the tools to grow," Nagavarapu said in the release. "After considering several locations in Central Texas, we're excited to put down our manufacturing roots in a place that treats founders as partners."

The company will be located in the 115,000-square-foot 1890 Commerce Park from BlueAcre Development. Finished structures will have tenant spaces ranging from 1,445 square feet to 18,840 square feet, per the developer.
